FC05 were founded in 2005 and in their first season performed beyond expectations. The team completed a perfect treble, winning every game in the league and two cup competitions winning the Midland Amateur Alliance Junior Cup, Notts FA Junior Cup and MAA Division II championship.
The following season, FC05 were promoted to the MAA Premier Division, side-stepping Division I. In a close season FC05 finished a respectable 4th in the league.
In the 2007/08 season they finished runners up in the premier league narrowly missing out on the title by just 1pt.
Season 2008/09 and FC05 were deservedly crowned the Premier League Champions and also defeated the MAA League Representative side 3-2 in an end of season challenge match. During that season FC05 had no less than 6 of the first team squad in the MAA Representative Squad including the team captain.
In 2009/10 a change of ground and facilities to Bilsthorpe Welfare were needed to enable the team to begin to build for the future and in doing so enabled the club to compete in the Central Midlands Premier League for the first time.
In the 2010/11 Season FC05 became FC05 Bilsthorpe and remained in the Central Midlands League's Black Dragon Premier Division, they also had a reserve team competing in the MAA Division 1 Leage and and an U12's team in the Mansfield Youth League.
The 2011/12 Season will see FC05 Bilsthorpe competing in the newly formed Central Midlands North League.
